COMBINATION BOILERS
combination boiler provides central heating and instant hot water with no need for a storage facility. This is part of a 'sealed' system that means that there is no need for a tank in the loft or water storage cylinder.
The advanced cxi range of high efficiency condensing combi boilers are available in 24kW, 30kW and 38kW models providing highly efficient heating and hot water, protecting the environment and saving householders money. The reliable stainless steel heat exchanger produces up to 15.5L/min and an impressive 5-second hot water response, with quiet operation. The cxi range has achieved the highest energy efficiency rating possible being listed as SEDBUK 'A' and gained top marks for low emissions with a NOx class 5 rating - the best possible. The 30cxi is also suitable for LPG applications without the need for a conversion kit.
The fuel saving performance of the cxi range has been combined with an impressive range of features and they look great too! On-board diagnostics provide superior serviceability and Glow-worm's unique 'continua'© electronics will allow these boilers to continue where others may fail due to system faults. Fitted as standard is an inbuilt bypass, filling loop, 2-stage frost protection system and anti-seizure controls. The 'Eco' setting provides a further level of energy saving. A one-piece pre-fixing jig is supplied for ease of installation. Extensive flueing options are a feature of all new Glow-worm boilers, allowing greater flexibility in installation.
Vaillant Baxi 100/2 HE Plus
The Baxi 100/2 HE Plus is a gas fired wall
mounted boiler for open vented systems, with a 'ledge and latch' wall mounting plate that makes it famously easy to install.
It has a seasonal efficiency (SEDBUK A) of 90.9%, and its Part L compliance via an internal flow switch for fully TVR'd systems means that no room thermostat is required. Designed to serve central heating and indirect domestic hot water systems, it is room sealed and fan assisted, operating on a switched live demand from the external control system and delivering a maximum heat output up to 30.18kW.

Vaillant's range of products includes wall mounted high efficiency and standard efficiency combination and system boilers as well as high efficiency traditional open vented boilers, cylinders and controls.
High Efficiency 'Condensing' Boilers
Vaillant high efficiency boilers use new energy saving technology to capture otherwise wasted heat and use fuel more economically - saving up to 35% when compared to an older existing boiler. All Vaillant ecoMAX boilers are SEDBUK Band 'A' rated and have efficiencies of over 90%.
Standard Efficiency Boilers
Vaillant standard efficiency boilers offer efficiencies over 78% which also means considerable savings when compared to an older existing boiler. All Vaillant standard efficiency boilers are SEDBUK Band 'D' rated.
Combination Boilers
As the name suggests a combination boiler supplies central heating and instantaneous hot water from the same single unit, and is therefore a 'combination' of both. It doesn't need separate hot water cylinder and cold water tank, or the pipework and installation that would normally be associated with the more traditional system. Not only does it save space and supply hot water on demand it also eliminates the risk of water freezing in the roof-space during severely cold weather and makes installation simpler and faster.
System Boilers
System boilers provide central heating and also supply hot water indirectly via a hot water cylinder sited typically in an airing cupboard. They have a built-in pump and equipment which enables them to be used on a sealed central heating system.
Open Vent
Open vented heating systems are the typicaly older type or conventional system. Open vent boilers provide central heating and also heat a storage cylinder from which hot water is supplied. They need a separate pump and tank in the loft for the heating system.
Storage Cylinders
Storage cylinders work with system and open vent boilers to store hot water which has been indirectly supplied by the boiler. The most efficient types are unvented cylinders which supply mains pressure hot water. These are purpose designed for use with system boilers. Vaillant VANTAGE unvented cylinder range is available.
Controls
Used to provide both time and temperature control heating and hot water for maximum flexibility and efficiency.
